cancellation policy

We know things can change, and sometimes you need to cancel. We’ll do our best to support you, but here’s how it works depending on the stage of the sale.

Before the buyer confirms the sale

  • You can decline a buyer’s purchase request anytime before confirmation—free of charge.

Keep in mind that declining more than one sale will result in an automatic negative review on your buycycle account. Make sure your listings are up to date to avoid negative reviews.

  • If a counter offer is accepted but the buyer doesn’t complete the purchase, both sides can walk away—also free of charge.

For bikes and frames

After the buyer confirms the sale

  • If you cancel after the buyer has confirmed, a €75 cancellation fee applies. This covers payment processing, packaging, and logistics already started by buycycle.
  • The sale is officially canceled as soon as we receive the cancellation fee.
  • Cancellations are no longer possible within 3 days of the scheduled pickup.
  • The sale is canceled after confirmation due to incorrect listing information. In this case, the seller is charged €75 cancellation fee for listing the item inaccurately

Delays or missed pickups

  • If you miss the scheduled pickup 3 times, buycycle may cancel the sale.
  • This will be treated like a seller-side cancellation and the €75 fee will apply.

     

For bike parts and accessories

  • If the item hasn’t shipped yet, you can cancel anytime—no fee.
  • Once the item is in transit, cancellation is no longer possible.

buycycle reserves the right to cancel a transaction at any time.
