We know payment issues can be annoying—whether it’s a declined card or waiting on a refund. Here’s what might be going on and how to sort it out.
Payment issues
Why your payment didn’t go through
If your payment was declined, it’s usually due to one of the following:

Insufficient funds
Make sure there’s enough money on your card or in your account before trying again.

Expired or incorrect card details
Double-check the card number, expiry date, and security code. Even small typos can cause a failure.

Billing address mismatch
The billing address needs to match the one registered with your card provider or bank.

Card or payment restrictions
Some cards have limits for online payments, international purchases, or high-value transactions. Your bank can help clarify.

Security checks
If your bank suspects fraud, it may block the payment. Contact them to confirm it’s really you.

Daily transaction limits
Some banks or cards limit how much you can spend per day. If you’ve hit that limit, your payment won’t go through.

Technical issues
Sometimes the problem is temporary. Try again later—or reach out to our support team for help.

Card locked or frozen
If your card is blocked by your bank, no transactions will work until it's unlocked.
Refunds
What happens if your order is declined
If the seller doesn’t confirm the order within 24 hours, it’ll be automatically declined. This process can take up to 48 hours after the 24-hour window. As soon as it’s officially declined:
- Your payment will be released if it was just a temporary hold. If you used a credit card, the payment may have only been temporarily authorized. That means no money actually left your account. Once the order is declined, the authorization is removed—no refund needed.
- Or refunded if your payment method was already charged. If you were already charged, we’ll issue the refund as soon as the order is declined. Depending on your bank, the money should show up within 2–3 business days.
Post-transaction refunds
If your refund is related to buyer protection, a cancellation, or any issue after the sale, refunds are processed by buycycle. In these cases, it can take up to 5 business days for the money to appear in your account.
