At buycycle, we’ve got buyers covered with our Buyer Protection Policy—but we’re also here to support you as a seller. To avoid returns or disputes, here’s what you need to know.
When buyers can request a return
A buyer may file a claim and request a return if:
- The bike doesn’t match the description
- The components differ from what was listed
- The frame is counterfeit or misrepresented
How to avoid returns and claims
Most issues come down to listings not matching expectations. Here’s how to keep things smooth:
-
List accurate details
Include the correct brand, model, size, year, and condition. Mistakes or missing info often lead to claims.
-
Disclose all wear or damage
Be upfront—even about small scratches or signs of use. Transparency builds trust.
-
Upload clear, high-quality photos
Show the bike from every angle. The more a buyer sees upfront, the fewer surprises later.
What happens if a claim is filed
If a buyer opens a claim:
- The seller and buyer have 5 days to find a solution together.
- If no agreement is reached, buycycle steps in to review the listing, the buyer’s claim, and any evidence provided.
- If the claim is valid, we’ll request the bike or bike part be returned and arrange a refund.
- Our goal is always to support both sides and find a fair solution.
Pro tip: Honest listings with clear photos lead to happier buyers—and fewer returns.
