return policy

At buycycle, we’ve got buyers covered with our Buyer Protection Policy—but we’re also here to support you as a seller. To avoid returns or disputes, here’s what you need to know.

When buyers can request a return

A buyer may file a claim and request a return if:

  • The bike doesn’t match the description
  • The components differ from what was listed
  • The frame is counterfeit or misrepresented

How to avoid returns and claims

Most issues come down to listings not matching expectations. Here’s how to keep things smooth:

  1. List accurate details

Include the correct brand, model, size, year, and condition. Mistakes or missing info often lead to claims.

  2. Disclose all wear or damage

Be upfront—even about small scratches or signs of use. Transparency builds trust.

  3. Upload clear, high-quality photos

Show the bike from every angle. The more a buyer sees upfront, the fewer surprises later.

What happens if a claim is filed

If a buyer opens a claim:

  • The seller and buyer have 5 days to find a solution together.
  • If no agreement is reached, buycycle steps in to review the listing, the buyer’s claim, and any evidence provided.
  • If the claim is valid, we’ll request the bike or bike part be returned and arrange a refund.
  • Our goal is always to support both sides and find a fair solution.

Pro tip: Honest listings with clear photos lead to happier buyers—and fewer returns.
