How does self-pick up work?

Self-Pickup Option at Checkout

During checkout, buyers who live near sellers can choose the self-pickup option, allowing them to meet locally to complete the transaction instead of shipping the bike.

Arranging the Meeting

Once the seller confirms the sale, both the buyer and seller can contact each other directly to arrange a convenient meeting time and place.

Confirming the Handover

If the buyer is satisfied with the bike, both parties should confirm the handover. To do this, go to your profile, select Orders, and click Confirm handover.

Releasing the Payment

The payment will then be released to the seller’s buycycle account through our third-party payment provider, Adyen. Sellers can withdraw these funds to their bank account, which typically takes about 3 business days.

Note: If the handover is confirmed very soon after the sale, there may be a short delay before Adyen releases the payment, up to a maximum of 3 business days.

Canceling the Sale

If the sale needs to be canceled, simply decline the handover in your profile, and the buyer will receive a refund.
