packaging issues & delays

Having trouble with your packaging or bike fit? This article covers what to do if your packaging is delayed, your bike doesn’t fit in the box, or you're including extra items like wheels or accessories. We’ll guide you through the next steps to make sure everything gets to the buyer safely.

Packaging delays

No need to worry—we’re keeping an eye on your packaging delivery. If there’s a delay that could impact your pickup date, we’ll pause the pickup and get in touch with you right away.

Bike doesn’t fit in the buycycle box

If your bike doesn’t fit into the provided box, you might need to remove the handlebars or wheels to make it work.

Tips for special bike types

  • Integrated handlebars? You’ll need to unbolt the handlebars if you can’t twist them sideways.
  • Telescopic seatpost? Lower it completely into the frame.

What to check before shipping:

  • Secure the bike: Use padding, and don’t forget brake spacers to protect the pistons.
  • No parts sticking out: Make sure everything fits neatly inside the box—no bulges or overhang.

The most important thing: Pack the bike securely to prevent damage.

Still having trouble fitting the bike into the box? Reach out to our support team—we’ll help you figure it out and find the best solution.

Important: The bike must be packed in a box that matches the size listed in your buycycle account under the sale details. If the package is too large, it might be returned or lead to extra shipping fees, which are charged to the seller. It can also cause delivery delays.

If you don’t have a suitable box, check with your local bike shop or post office—they might have one available.

Selling an extra wheelset or accessories

If you’ve included an extra wheelset or other accessories—awesome! But keep in mind:

We only provide one shipment per sale, and we can’t offer additional packaging or shipping for extra items.

What you can do:

  • Pack and ship the items yourself.
  • Confirm the buyer’s delivery address in the chat before sending anything.
