As a seller on buycycle, you’ll need to provide your own packaging when shipping bike parts or accessories. Here’s how to get it right:
Choose the right box
We’ll send you the shipping label and tell you the maximum box dimensions—you can also find these details in the Sale section of your buycycle account.
- Pick a sturdy box that fits the item snugly.
- Oversized boxes may be rejected or returned, and extra shipping fees will be charged to you.
- If you don’t have suitable packaging, check with a local bike shop or post office.
Pack your item safely
Your packaging should keep the part protected until it reaches the buyer. Here’s how:
- Use filler material like foam or bubble wrap to prevent movement.
- Put small or hydraulic parts (like calipers or brake levers) in zip-lock bags to avoid leaks.
- Wrap greasy components in sealed bags to prevent oil stains.
- Separate each part inside the box to avoid scratches.
