test ride & self-pickup

Offering a test ride or letting the buyer inspect the item in person shows you’re transparent and committed to a smooth sale.

Here’s how self-pickup works:

1. Buyer selects self-pickup at checkout and pays upfront.
2. You get connected. As soon as the order’s confirmed, we unlock the chat. You’ll see each other’s contact details and can arrange a meeting directly.
3. Let the buyer inspect the item. Whether it’s a bike or a part, they can check if everything matches your listing.
4. If the buyer takes the item:
   • You both confirm the handover in your buycycle profile or via the confirmation link in our email.
   • We release the payment to your buycycle account—done!
5. If the buyer rejects the item:
   • They decline the handover in their profile and get a full refund.
   • Want to keep selling? Just let us know and we’ll reactivate your listing.
6. If you decline the handover:
   • The transaction is automatically canceled.

Important: A meeting can only be arranged after the buyer completes the purchase. The chat stays locked until then.
