delivery delays

What causes pickup and delivery delays?

Shipping delays and missed pickups can occur due to increased shipping volumes, address issues, packaging delays, or the seller’s availability. But don’t worry—your money is safe until the item has arrived and been checked by you.

Several factors can cause delivery delays. Here are some common reasons:

Bikes

  • Packaging materials: If the seller needs packaging materials to safely pack your bike, it may take 4-7 working days for these to arrive after the order is confirmed.
  • Pickup scheduling: The seller selects the pickup date based on their availability. They may need to work around holidays, personal schedules, or other commitments. The pickup happens in person, and the seller must be available for the entire day.
  • Logistical challenges: Missed pickups or delays can happen due to high shipping volumes, especially during peak seasons like the holidays.

Bike parts

  • Seller responsibility: The seller is responsible for dropping off your bike part within 7 days. If the seller drops it off later than expected, shipping will take longer.
  • Peak seasons: During peak seasons, like the winter holidays, carriers may experience high shipping volumes, leading to longer shipping times.
