When buying any item on buycycle, it’s important to feel confident in the product’s authenticity and condition. While we take steps to ensure all listings meet high standards, it's still important for you to take a few extra steps to verify the item’s details. Here’s how you can protect yourself
Verifying authenticity
At buycycle, we prioritize the trust and safety of our users. Although we flag suspicious listings, such as those with unusually low prices or other signs of potential fraud, we cannot guarantee 100% authenticity for every item. To make sure you're purchasing a legitimate product, we recommend you reach out directly to the seller for additional proof, such as:
- Serial number: Ask for the item’s serial number. This can often be verified with the manufacturer or relevant registry to confirm its authenticity.
- Invoice or original receipt: Request an invoice or receipt that shows the item’s purchase history and previous ownership.
Trust your instincts—if something doesn’t feel right, don’t hesitate to report suspicious listings. Your vigilance helps make buycycle safer for everyone.
Items are shipped directly to you
The seller is responsible for listing and shipping the item, and the bike or bike part will not undergo a physical buycycle inspection before shipping.
Sellers responsibilities includes:
- Providing an accurate and detailed description of the item's condition in the listing.
- Properly packing and preparing the item to prevent any damage during shipping.
If the item you receive doesn’t match the description or has issues with its condition, don’t worry—we’ve got your back! You can always refer to our Buyer Protection policy for support.
