Can I test ride a bike?

At buycycle, we appreciate the significance of making an informed decision when purchasing a used bike. Knowing that a test ride can be an essential part of this process, we have designed a hassle-free and secure way for you to try out a bike before finalizing your purchase.

Here’s how you can seamlessly arrange a test ride through buycycle:

Step 1: Making a Payment

The process begins by making an online payment for the bike you are interested in. This initial payment ensures the seriousness of your interest and facilitates your connection with the seller.

Please note:

• Credit Card Payments: If you pay using a credit card, we only authorize the payment. This means we reserve the amount on your card, but it doesn't leave your bank account at this stage.
• Other Payment Methods: For other payment methods, the money is directly captured from your account.

 

Step 2: Connecting with the Seller

Once your payment is authorized or captured, we provide you with the seller's contact details. You can then communicate directly with the seller to schedule a convenient time for the test ride.

 

Step 3: Test Riding the Bike

At the agreed time, the seller will have the bike prepared for your test ride. This is your opportunity to assess the bike's performance, comfort, and condition.

 

Step 4: Confirming or Canceling the Purchase

After the test ride, it’s time to make your decision.

• If You Decide to Purchase the Bike: If the bike meets your expectations and you want to proceed with the purchase, you don’t need to contact us. Instead, before your pickup, you will have received a unique link via email where you can confirm the purchase. For credit card payments, this will result in capturing the authorized amount.
• If You Decide Not to Purchase the Bike: If you choose not to purchase the bike after the test ride, use the same unique link to cancel the sale. For credit card payments, the authorized amount will be released, ensuring that the money never leaves your account. For other payment methods, we will immediately issue a full refund.

The unique link simplifies the process, allowing you to confirm or cancel the sale with ease, without the need to contact us directly.
